MCAI Student Internship Grant
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Iowa (MCAI) believes that students who work for one of its members will enhance their education, their professional experience, and their interest in the mechanical contracting industry. Therefore, we are offering grants to current MCAI contractor members who hire undergraduates as interns.
Interns must be students in good standing at an accredited college or university. Though MCAI encourages its members to give priority to students from one of the 50+ MCAA student chapters (including the MCAI-sponsored Iowa State University MCAA Student Chapter), this is not a requirement for a grant.
Grant Description
The amount of the 2024 Internship Grant is $1,500 per intern hired by an MCAI contractor member firm. An individual firm will be reimbursed by MCAI for a maximum of two (2) interns. Grants will be paid in the form of a check from the MCAI to the member company. The grant check will be sent upon the acceptance of a completed 2024 MCAI Student Internship Grant Application.
Eligibility
An eligible MCAI contractor member is one whose membership is currently in good standing with the MCAI.
Application Procedures
Your Internship Grant Application form will be reviewed for completeness and accuracy of the information submitted below. The Mechanical Contractors Association of Iowa, Inc. (MCAI) will issue a grant check immediately upon your application acceptance. Checks will be made payable to the MCAI contractor member company noted on the application. NOTE: Internship Grants are $1,500 and each MCAI contractor member firm can receive a maximum of two (2) internship grants in 2024.
