MCAI's 2018 Annual Meeting
MCAI is excited to invite our members and their families to join us for our 2018 Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee from June 14–17 at the Hilton Nashville Downtown. After last year’s fantastic event in Kansas City shattered our attendance records, we look forward to another lively and well-attended meeting this summer. Our Board of Directors, Convention Committee and staff work hard to make these annual meetings a fun and valuable experience for both contractors and associate/affiliate members. Here’s what you can expect if you join us in the Music City.
On Thursday, June 14, stampede into the Hilton Downtown to check in and register starting at 4 p.m., then join us for a Welcome Reception at the Wildhorse Saloon. Located within walking distance of the hotel, the Wildhorse Saloon sees over 1.5 million annual visitors gallop through its doors for some of the hottest live entertainment in the Southeast. Enjoy award-winning smokehouse cuisine and lively dancing as you connect with old friends and make new ones.
Friday’s activities begin with the MCAI Annual Business Meeting. This meeting, featuring a review of Association activities over the past year and a preview of activities planned in the coming year, is open to all members. Next, we’re proud to feature a seminar with renowned construction technologist Rob McKinney entitled, “Apps for Construction: Exploring the Five Job Site Workflows and Where Mobile Fits In.” Rob will draw on his extensive experience implementing mobile technology on construction projects to explore workflows for builders and solutions for plan management, daily reporting, progress photos, time entry, safety documentation and more. Friday evening, join us for dinner and a reception at historic Acme Feed & Seed featuring dinner stations from the famous Tomkats Catering. After dinner, enjoy live rock and country music from singer-songwriter Luke Cunningham.
Saturday is all about fellowship and networking! Our day begins with high-tech driving range fun for everyone from hackers to scratch players at Topgolf. Brunch will be served. Saturday evening features a can’t-miss trip to the Grand Ole Opry, where we’ll enjoy a reception and dinner in the legendary Studio A, former home to television’s Hee-Haw and Nashville. Following dinner, we’ll take our seats for the show. While we don’t yet know the performers, rest assured a show at the Opry is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced!
Bursting with opportunities for meaningful networking, education and fellowship, the 2018 MCAI Annual Meeting is not to be missed. Register online here by May 15th! Please contact Jennifer Adkins at jennifer@mcaofiowa.org or 515.334.2616 with any questions.
